Hanoi and Sapa videos!

I just uploaded a video taken in Sapa, renting a motorbike and just enjoy!

Another one really amazing of how a person should cross a road in Hanoi!

Since.

Since I got back in mid-May, I took more than a week to settle down; the extreme difference in weather and my nose being very sensitive to the air which made the first week pretty annoying.

Before that, Jun and I had planned a trip: first Vietnam - Thailand - Macau - Hong Kong and till few days ago we decided to go to Pulau Redang. Pulau Redang was more like a last minute decision but was good nevertheless.

In Vietnam, we have spent our first night in Rising Dragon Hotel, Hanoi. Right after that, the hotel staff since they provided us excellent service together with trip arrangements and a night costing usd$ 15 each was just simply amazing. At night, we took the night train to Sapa leaving at roughly 9pm reaching at 5am in the morning in Lao Cai. We were given this so-called first class VIP tickets while sharing the cabin with 2 other people. Got to know people from all walks, while on the way there we met this couple from Copenhagen, lovely friendly people to few chaps who were really friendly on the way back.

Hang Be market, right behind our hotel.

Jun acting all posh, having an expensive dinner at Bobby Chinn.

Busy crazy roads in Hanoi, they dont even stop on red.

Open space WC, this is how they do it!
Outside some museum

The mausoleum of uncle Ho.
Temple of Literature, pretty nice place.

Temple of literature

Funny huh, communist country and there you go calling your hotel democratic.

Upon reaching Sapa - simply fabulous. Easy slow paced life, where we rented a motorbike for just $15 a day. Jun and I had no license for motorcycles but somehow we were entrusted with a 120cc bike ( boasted by the young owner). We took turns to ride the bike and I crashed it while going up a pretty steep slope, filled with potholes and uneven mud roads.

The train station in Hanoi to Lao Cai

Some Hmong tribe I believe

A nice picture of a few kids.

The terraces of paddy being planted in Sapa

What a postcard shot huh?
The german tribe dance- summoningggg :

Schweine, porku Cool picture with the kids.

I did like Sapa alottt!!

Jun just being himself, civilised.

Wasnt too hungry to be honest, just wanted to try out their food but it was toooooo much!

YOOOOOOO FOOOOO! HARDO GAYYY.

We took the overnight train back that night itself and reaching Hanoi early at 4 30am. Waiting outside our hotel since they do not open that early, while we sat outside the hotel observing people setting up their food stalls as early as 5am.

Jun waiting outside the hotel at 5am in the morning, was still closed.

Hanoi is such a messy place, in terms of how they use the road. Just crazy. Having a population of close to 90m, we were told that they had at least 30million registered motorcyles! There were definately less cars than bikes you can see all around.

Crazzze

That day itself upon reaching back from Sapa, we planned another trip to Halong Bay. Another typical, standard destination for most travellers. Beautiful scenery but somehow rather boring other than that. Was expecting good seafood but we were served with just rather plain meals, however the experience, people watching and sceneries made it all worth it.

Seems like some traditional old port, busy place.

It was raining, kayaking

AND we decided to get a pair of gay shades, both in white costing like USD$5 each

We then spent our last day in Hanoi, leaving the city for Bangkok where we spent 3 nights there. Crazy place, where we did not quite enjoy that much due to the hot hot weather, cutthroat prices charged by taxi/tuk tuk drivers, scams all over which one to be very aware off. Nevertheless it was much compensated by good clothes shopping, nice cheap stuff indeed.

Sights of ladyboys to high class escorts were seen mostly all over. You know, the typical stuff - even Jun met ladyboys all the way from Germany being in Ayuthaya.

Stupas in Ayuthaya.

Ayuthaya - the historic city of Thailand was really amazing, nice old structures but probably made Jun felt uncomfortable due to it leaning and almost crumbling while you know (Germans are perfectionists)

A really nice view on the open air 62nd floor of Banyan Tree Hotel in Bangkok.

Our room, Cozy Bangkok in Hualampong - costed us rm75 for a night, 2 of us.

After Thailand, we headed off to Macau and Hong Kong. Hong Kong being one of the most developed cities in Asia after Japan, it felt like we're back to civilisation again. Price comparisons were made by us as we realized our rooms became much worse as we travel and at the same time paying higher prices just for a dirty small room. Food became more and more expensive further in time with the trip. Hong Kong was being another typical modern city but of course it was not quite enjoyable for us since we planned a low budget trip. HongKong would be nice if you have the cash to splurge since shopping is literally everywhere complemented by good food.

Our small cheap dirty smell room in Nathan Road, Kowloon.

The city skyline from the Peak.

Night view from the harbour, nicee.

Some german lady took this picture, was so so clear. I swear she whispered to the camera.

The all so famous St. Pauls ruins of Macau

Venetian Hotel, was really big but I didnt quite like the place.

We got back on the 16th of June while we left for Pulau Redang on the 19th of June. Initially I was planning to go for a dive but somehow my cousins pulled out on that which ended up me travelling to Redang with Jun. Was nice, met really nice people; even the daughter of a resort owner which invited us for drinks, towers and towers of beer free. Oh well. loll - Good stuff.

Postcard nice beautiful shot huh.

This one tooo.

I guess thats all folks, hope you did enjoy what you see :) Holidays have been great so far, next up, internship in a week.

Uh

I apologise for not updating! I will but since I will be leaving for Redang in a few more hours, leaving home in around 4 hours and will be back!

Will update! :)

From Hanoi - Sapa and soon Halong

From the really noisy Hanoi city where motorist literally waiting to press their 205123991st honk for the day to Sapa. Sapa was just wonderful. PERIOD. I'll post pictures and some videos when I get back. Halong Bay in a few hours. :)

First up: Vietnam

In literally a few hours, I will be leaving for Hanoi, flights at 6:30am but since Id need to get there 2 hours before I have decided not to trouble others by going there at 1am. Jun and I decided to probably sleep at the airport till 3-4am.

Vietnam will be our first destination:

Current ideal itinerary:

Day 1: Hanoi
Day 2: Sapa
Day 3: Sapa
Day 4: Halong Bay
Day 5: Hanoi

I will try to update while im there..

On the other hand, to be honest I did enjoy my recent days alot. Having good company of friends, laughers and jokes. However things are often not as what you see. You know who you are and I can feel that you dont feel good inside, it shows.

I wont be around for 2 weeks and I really do hope as much that you will stay strong, think positively and be hopeful. Nothing can quite bring you down, its whether on how much you care for something which includes on how much thought you put into upon facing obstacles.

It kills me inside of what you are going through, putting up a smile is not good enough. Things may not be that bad afterall which all depends on one's perspective. You control your life and why let other stuff influence your life in the first place. You deserve the happiness you want/need and nobody can take that away from you.

Deep down inside, you have my love; love for you as a good friend and will be there for you.
