Excruciating Pain

Ok, maybe I am exaggerating having agonizing pain but it is perhaps true. Suffering from Fever, bad throat, cough, some flu, phlegm, literally the whole package one might sometimes call.

It's been a week since I've first fallen ill, falling ill have ruined my plans of getting things done, getting courseworks done, unbelievably this year is so much tougher than the first year. Submitting a legal assignment last week, Valuation coursework due on the 18th of this month, 26,27th I have a presentation on NEXT plc., a report on NEXT plc due on the 1st of Dec, and 8th a construction project on Bullring Birmingham would be due.

Man, times have change; no longer the usual weekly, fortnightly trips to London where I have my weekly dose of good food (chinese food), meeting up with close buddies where we share similar interests and good laughs. This is not even working life, and I am still in university! Heck, I can even forsee where all close buddies would have no time for good old sit around, movie watching and food hunting around. I'm not gonna let that happen though, what is the whole point of money making and not having quality life.

I've came across a quote which I think is great, it goes something like:

It's not the years in your life that matters but the life in your years that count. Something along that line.

This makes me think of my dad, he works really hard (at least often claiming to). Of course in a way that can be measured through his ability of sending me overseas and still having a comfortable life. I highly look up to my dad in the sense that he treasures his friends so much, and I'd love to have a lifestyle of his where he still gets to have his good old daily breakfast with most of his primary/high school close friends over the weekdays, and I really mean daily without fail. Often having lunch with them as well and spending his time on physical working, back breaking farming work in his orchard over the weekends.

True that he often claims, but I have never quite met a guy who can wake up early in the morning everyday, (claim the early bird prize of the toilet), do gardening, weed pulling every single morning and then head to work. Despite the fact that he doesnt have much time for us over the weekdays, often not seeing him at all for dinners; he would still try to make time for the family. Ahh, of course very often we have some sorta debate/arguments over issues but its all good.

See, I feel its such a gifted thing where you can spend time, meeting up friends, catching up over meals literally everyday. Ok, perhaps its enough praising for my dad, might continue with other family members in the near future. Just my random thoughts I'd say.

Falling ill isnt great at all, especially falling ill for a week and the having the last time falling ill probably few years ago. Times like this you really appreciate good health and to those living in colder countries, put on more; keep yourself cozy and appreciate life! :)
